Kain Lawyers advises MyVenue on strategic and investment partnership with Greater Sum Ventures
Kain Lawyers is proud to have advised MyVenue, a worldwide leader in event venue point-of-sale technology, on their strategic and investment partnership with Greater Sum Ventures (‘GSV’), a SaaS growth specialist family office.
Founded in 2020, MyVenue powers billions of dollars in credit card transactions annually at 190+ of the world’s most iconic sports and entertainment venues, including Dodger Stadium, Little Caesars Arena, Hard Rock Stadium, and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, host venue of the 2028 Olympics.
The partnership provides MyVenue with additional capital and specialised resources to further scale growth and R&D initiatives, and fuel expansion of the company’s in-house software development and leadership teams.
The Kain Lawyers team advising MyVenue was led by Gerry Cawson, with assistance from team members Jack Dittmar, Emily Stollznow, Amanda Hsi and Daniel Sladojevic.
MyVenue CEO and Founder Tim Stollznow said Kain Lawyers was their legal advisory firm of choice due to their experienced team and proven ability to focus on the commercial objective.
“This was a sophisticated transaction involving a rigorous due diligence process, cross-border negotiation, and a tight deadline. Kain Lawyers performed not just with their legal expertise, but through process leadership, clarity and drive to get the deal done.
Gerry and his team worked at speed without compromising quality, were always available, and delivered advice that was both legally grounded and commercially pragmatic.
Their responsiveness and absolute focus were critical to a successful outcome. We made the right choice with Kain Lawyers.”
Kain Lawyers Director, Gerry Cawson, said MyVenue is an innovative market leader that has provided point-of-sale and back-office solutions to some of the most iconic and culturally significant sports and entertainment venues around the globe.
“MyVenue is a great example of a fast-growing Australian company that is taking local technology and know-how to global markets. Kain Lawyers is delighted to have assisted Tim and his team in this strategic partnership agreement. I am proud of the reputation Kain Lawyers has developed in this space and we look forward to working with more Australian companies to achieve their global goals.”
