Kain Lawyers is pleased to have worked with Pemba Capital Partners and advised defence technology specialist company Aurizn on their acquisition of Pacific Aerospace Consulting (PAC) Australia.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone in establishing Aurizn as a leading defence technology provider in Australia and internationally. The acquisition of PAC Australia follows their recent strategic acquisition of McR Defence.
The Kain Lawyers team advising Aurizn on the acquisitions of PAC and McR Defence was led by Gerry Cawson, with assistance from team members Travis Cordingley, Sam Christie, Emily Stollznow and Sophia Laparidis.
Mr Cawson said Australia’s defence sector continues to attract strong interest from private capital providers, creating exciting opportunities for business owners.
“We were delighted to assist Aurizn and its owners in navigating the complexities of these acquisitions, achieving a successful outcome that reflects the sector’s growing appeal and potential,” said Mr Cawson.
Australian-owned and with over 20 years’ experience, Aurizn delivers next-generation technology solutions, specialising in digital test and evaluation, simulation, and artificial intelligence to enhance decision-making, advanced sensing technologies and cyber operations.
PAC Australia has been a leading provider of operational solutions in the defence and aerospace sector for two decades, assisting the transfer of capability between the US and Australia. Together, the companies provide a significant uplift in sovereign Australian capability, while leveraging the coalition knowledge needed in the current threat environment.
Group CEO Brett Sangster said, “We’re excited to partner with Pemba Capital Partners to pursue an ambitious vision for growth that includes supporting major initiatives such as taking critical technologies into AUKUS and allied nations.”
